Tide Times for the Laune River.

It is always useful to time your visit to the Laune to coincide with a morning or an evening tide time.  Best time to arrive at the river is reckoned to be about 1 to 2 hours before high tide especially for the lower fisheries.  Laune Anglers Fisheries extend from the lower part of the river where the tide reaches to five miles above the highest tide.

This is why the Laune uniquely allows the angler the opportunity to meet a sea-liced fish on its journey up stream.   Having a favourable tide time just improves your chances of meeting such a fish.  The vast majority of the fish caught on the Laune are very fresh sliver fish or even sea-liced right up to closing day the 30th September.
